HLLC (Honors Living-Learning Community) is Rutgers University-Newark’s new lifestyle dormitory for students from all walks of life. The Global Piazza, HLLC’s equivalent of a college quad, reflects the University’s mission to foster “Local Citizenship in a Global World,” and celebrates the diversity of Rutgers University-Newark.

 Working with RBH Group, a social impact development company in charge of the project, Supermass Studio developed an interior courtyard design for the new $70M state-of-the-art learning, residence, and mixed use facility which will become the new home for the HLLC program. In keeping with the theme of “Local Citizenship in a Global World” espoused by HLLC, the adjacent garage wall is screened by a bold supergraphic wall treatment that spells the words Honors, Learning, Living and Community in several home languages of the students
