Allure 258 Residential
East Orange, New Jersey
Supermass Studio designed a lush, resort-inspired roofdeck for Allure 258, transforming the podium rooftop into an elevated outdoor retreat for residents. The landscape is organized around a flowing central green and a series of sculpted wood seating terraces that shape intimate pockets for lounging, dining, and casual gathering. A mix of ornamental trees, layered shrubs, and seasonal perennials—visible throughout the perimeter garden shown in the schematic plan and planting design—creates a rich, park-like edge that softens the building’s modern architecture and frames long views across the site.
Generous open spaces accommodate a variety of resident uses, from sunbathing and reading to small social events. Flexible seating, a firepit area, and accessible circulation work together to create a welcoming, community-oriented environment. The overall design blends contemporary outdoor living with immersive planting to offer a tranquil escape within the urban fabric of East Orange.
